nut graf

A nut graf is basically a paragraph that explains the most important part of a story. The nut graf is the facts and the leads usually in the first or second sentence. In a feature story it can be different than in a story. this is journalism terminology

Student of the month story

he had good grades and good attendence 

 Arunav, a student at bowie high school receives student of the month award, for the 2016/2017 school year. Arunav is a freshman and starting his four years right by being awarded this award for being a respectful hard working student.

Bowie students and staff vote each year for someone with hard working qualities to be awarded student of the month, this month it was Arunav.
 " i feel really excited to be chosen for this award, great grades and attendence are what makes student of the month."

high school is known for its good attendance and good grades but arunav shares how some students don't care about the award or their grades.
" to some people the award is important but for others it doesn't matter or mean anything."
Studying is a important part of grades and his hard work paid off

" for me, studying is important in maintaining good grades, if you want good grades you have to put the work into it.

Arunav encourages the students of bowie high school and the students or any school to try and receive this award
 " receiving this award was a huge honor because all of my hard work got to show, i thank my teachers for helping me be a better student."

Although arunav is all about his grades, he also spends time outside of class helping the community,

"  i love to help the community, in the time I'm not studying, i volunteer at my local animal shelter and sometimes toutering other kids. i enjoy helping others and spending my time doing great things."

Although he is a excellent student he also makes time for things he loves like his family
" my family means the world to me, without them and their support i wouldnt be where i was today."

i was not,  it was a  surprise

my teachers were very proud of me
